Chairman Prachanda Criticizes Madhes-Centric Parties, Pledges Support for Development

Chandrapur (Rautahat), March 8 – CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has urged political parties to remain accountable to the people, emphasizing that the public's trust should not be taken for granted.
Speaking at a party assembly in Laukaha, Rautahat, on Saturday as part of the Tarai-Madhes Awakening Campaign, Prachanda criticized Madhes-centric political parties, stating that their opportunistic approach has led to a decline in public confidence.
"The Maoist Centre has launched this campaign along the Postal Highway to understand the real issues faced by the Madhesi people," he said, adding that inadequate irrigation facilities, poor road infrastructure, lack of quality education, and other developmental challenges remain major concerns in the region. He assured that his party would make every effort to address these issues and stand in support of marginalized communities affected by discrimination and underdevelopment.
Chairman Prachanda also stressed the importance of honoring the sacrifices of martyrs, asserting that the success of the country's revolution hinges on the participation and support of the Tarai-Madhes people.
During his visit to Rautahat, Prachanda met with party cadres and local residents in Garuda, Durgabhagawati Rural Municipality, Gaur, and other areas. Meanwhile, members of the Save Gaur Rice Mill Campaign submitted a memorandum to him, seeking support for the resumption of the rice mill and the protection of public land associated with it.
