Madhesh Movement Was Made Possible by Maoist War: Maoist Centre Chair Dahal

Tilathi (Saptari), Feb 28: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' stated that the Madhesh movement was made possible due to the foundation laid by the Maoist people's war.
Speaking at a program held under the party's ongoing "Maoists with People, Postal Highway-Centered Campaign" in Rajbiraj today, Dahal expressed concern over the "gradual disintegration" of parties that were formed based on the principles of the Madhesh Movement.
He emphasized that his party has always remained committed to the issues of Madhesh. The Maoist Centre Chair accused Madhesh-centric parties of blocking the rise of Ramraja Prasad Singh, a pro-republican leader from Saptari, from becoming the first President of the Republic of Nepal.
Dahal called for unity among Madhesh-centric parties, stressing the importance of collective strength to protect the achievements of the Madhesh movement.
