Myanmar Wins Four-Nations Women's Football Championship Title

Kathmandu, Feb 26: Myanmar has won the Four-Nations Women's International Football Championship title, defeating hosts Nepal 2-0 in the final at Dasharath Stadium on Wednesday.

Myanmar struck twice in quick succession in the second half to silence the sold-out home crowd. Yu Per Khaing opened the scoring in the 62nd minute, followed by captain Win Theingi Tun, who doubled the lead just two minutes later in the 64th minute.

Nepal reached the final after victories over Kyrgyzstan and Lebanon. In the group stage, Nepal and Myanmar played out a 2-2 draw, with both teams advancing to the final.

Renuka Nagarkote of Nepal was named the tournament's best player.
