Phungling, Feb 22: Heavy snowfall has blanketed the Pathibhara (Mukumlung) area of Taplejung. The snowfall, which occurred last night, affected Pathibhara, located at an altitude of 3,794 meters, along with neighboring areas.

According to Rajendra Mahat, a member of the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, this marks the heaviest snowfall of the year, following a moderate snowfall last month. Snowfall has extended as far as Kafle Pati.
Despite the heavy snowfall, pilgrims visiting Pathibhara have not been impacted, as noted by Prajin Hangbang, the Committee’s executive director. Thanks to the installation of a fiber roof along the two-kilometer trekking route, pilgrims can reach Pathibhara Dham with ease, even during snowfall.
The Pathibhara Area Development Committee reports that 300 pilgrims performed pooja at Pathibhara Dham today.
