Partial Rain Likely in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki

Kathmandu, Feb 17: The westerly wind and a westerly low-pressure system are currently affecting the country's weather conditions, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
A weather forecast bulletin issued this morning states that the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Other regions will experience partly cloudy conditions, while some areas of the Terai region have reported foggy weather.
In the afternoon, the hilly regions of the country are expected to be partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies. Additionally, light snowfall is likely in one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Similarly, light snowfall may occur at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, along with one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati province.
The Department has advised the concerned authorities to take necessary measures to mitigate the impact of foggy weather conditions in parts of the Terai region, which could affect visibility and transportation.
