Kaski, Feb 8: The Pokhara Metropolitan City is gearing up to officially declare 2025 as the Pokhara Visit Year, aiming to attract 2 million tourists.

According to Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, the formal announcement will be made on February 15. A 1,050-member main organizing committee has been established under his leadership.

Mayor Acharya will also chair the Directorate Committee, with 43 sub-committees formed to support the initiative.

"We are actively preparing for the declaration of the Pokhara Visit Year. Ambassadors from various countries are expected to attend the inaugural ceremony," Mayor Acharya shared.

Additionally, the city plans to appoint goodwill ambassadors to promote Pokhara as a tourist destination in international markets.
