11 Arrested for Criminal Offenses Across Multiple Districts


Kathmandu, Feb 2: The police have apprehended 11 individuals from different parts of the country on charges related to various criminal activities, the Central Police Newsroom reported.

The arrests were made in Rautahat, Bardiya, Chitwan, and Sarlahi districts.

Among those detained is 31-year-old Sagar Shrestha, along with four others, who were caught at Bardiya Badaiyatala Rural Municipality-2 in possession of a substance suspected to be brown heroin.

In Chitwan’s Kalika Municipality-6, police arrested an 18-year-old with 450 grams of hashish near Gumba Chowk. A 27-year-old man named Sameer Pariyar from the same area was also taken into custody.

Additionally, four individuals were detained from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-4 along Lankulakshmi Path. They were found with approximately 50 grams of cannabis, other illegal drugs, and cash totaling Rs 95,700.

Meanwhile, Mukesh Kumar Soni, a 27-year-old resident of Rajwada-9, Sitamadi, India, was arrested from Suknaha Bazaar, Ishwarpur Municipality-15, Sarlahi. He was found in possession of one counterfeit note with a denomination of Rs 500 and 29 counterfeit Rs 100 notes.

The police are conducting further investigations into the cases.
