Kathmandu, Jan 1: The country is currently experiencing the influence of westerly winds, resulting in foggy conditions in several areas of the Terai. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, fog has also been observed in the hilly regions of Gandaki Province.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will enjoy fair conditions. Similarly, the hilly areas of the Far-Western Province are likely to experience partial cloud cover, with predominantly fair weather prevailing elsewhere.

The Department has forecasted foggy conditions in many parts of the Terai and Kathmandu Valley on Thursday morning. It has advised the public to stay alert, as the fog could disrupt daily activities, affect health, and pose challenges to transportation and aviation services.
