Mpox Patient Shows Signs of Recovery
Kathmandu, Dec 26: The health condition of a 36-year-old man from Tanahun infected with monkeypox (Mpox) is improving, according to the Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital.
Hospital Director Dr. Yuvanidhi Basaula stated that the patient, who tested positive for the infectious disease, has been responding well to treatment. Dr. Basaula emphasized that monkeypox patients require isolation for at least three weeks to prevent further transmission.
The patient, who returned from Saudi Arabia, was confirmed to be infected with monkeypox on December 20 and has been receiving treatment at the hospital since the same day.
