"Madhes Province Insures 16,000 Girls Under 'Beti Padhau, Beti Bachau' Initiative for Empowerment"

The Madhes Province government has insured nearly 16,000 girls as part of its 'Chief Minister Beti Padhau, Beti Bachau' (Educate Daughters: Save Daughters) campaign.

This campaign aims to empower women and uplift economically, educationally, and socially disadvantaged girls. The initiative, under the province's pride project, has allocated 59.75 million rupees towards this insurance scheme.

Key aspects of the campaign include providing bicycles, educational insurance, scholarships, and free sanitary pads, as well as constructing girl-friendly toilets and offering public service preparation classes. Kishori Kapar, the Directorate of Education Development's information officer, highlighted the scheme's impact on promoting girls’ education and empowerment across Madhes Province.
