Israel Launches Cybersecurity Week to Strengthen Public Awareness

Israel kicked off its annual Cybersecurity Week on Sunday, aiming to raise public awareness of cyber threats through a series of nationwide initiatives led by the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD).
The event brings together the military, government agencies, and various organizations to promote cybersecurity. Additionally, the INCD will launch a comprehensive social media campaign to extend its outreach and reinforce online safety awareness.
Aligned with the country’s National Child Online Protection Month, this year’s Cybersecurity Week places a strong focus on educating the younger generation. Schools will host lectures on online safety, equipping students with essential knowledge about digital threats.
A key highlight of the event is the introduction of the “Cyber Ambassadors” program. Under this initiative, 40 eighth-grade students will receive specialized training from Microsoft and the INCD, empowering them to serve as "information agents." These young ambassadors will educate their peers about cyber risks, harmful online content, and best practices for staying safe in the digital world.
