Explosion in Moscow kills one, wounds four: Russian news agencies

सांकेतिक

An explosion in a luxury residential complex in Moscow on Monday has left one person dead and four others injured, including Armen Sarkisian, a Ukrainian separatist. Sarkisian, a former boxing official from eastern Ukraine, was reportedly in critical condition after the blast.

Russian news agencies, including TASS and Interfax, confirmed the incident, with health officials stating that the injured were in serious condition. Initial reports had falsely claimed that Sarkisian was killed in the explosion, but it was later confirmed that he survived the blast.

Sarkisian, who led a separatist boxing federation in the Ukrainian city of Gorlivka, had formed a battalion to fight against Kyiv in 2022. Ria Novosti reported that the explosion was caused by an "explosive device."

The blast severely damaged the lobby of the building in northwest Moscow, with reports showing a blown-out door and shattered glass. This explosion adds to the series of mysterious incidents and assassinations that have occurred in Russia since the start of its full-scale offensive in Ukraine.
