Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed he had spoken with US president-elect Donald Trump three times in recent days to discuss the escalating "Iranian threat" to Israeli security. 

The talks, aimed at strengthening the Israel-US alliance, emphasized their shared stance on the issue. Netanyahu also highlighted the potential for peace opportunities for Israel, noting the strong bilateral ties between the two leaders. The discussions come at a critical time for the Middle East, with ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon. 

Netanyahu has expressed optimism over Trump's return to the White House due to their strong personal and political relationship, marked by key diplomatic achievements like the US embassy move to Jerusalem and the Abraham Accords.
