Alternative option to current governance system needed, Lingden says

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden has called for an alternative governance system to prevent further deterioration of the country's political and economic situation.

Speaking at a protest rally organized by the RPP in Dhangadhi on Sunday, Lingden asserted that the nation could no longer sustain the current system and emphasized the need for a fresh political agreement.

He proposed a governance model in which the Prime Minister is directly elected by the people and advocated for a fully proportional electoral system in parliament. Lingden reiterated the party’s pro-monarchy stance, claiming that such a system would effectively address the country’s challenges.

Addressing the rally, RPP leader Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani highlighted the nation’s struggles with political instability, governance issues, and economic difficulties. Similarly, RPP Spokesperson Gyanendra Shahi stressed the urgency of reforming the existing governance system to guide the country in the right direction.

The RPP has been vocal in its demand for political change, positioning itself as an alternative to the current system.
