Two of the 11 workers injured in last Thursday's gas cylinder explosion at an eatery in Kamalpokhari have died while undergoing treatment.

According to District Police Range Kathmandu spokesperson Apil Raj Bohara, the deceased are 18-year-old Rabin Rai of Hetauda and 25-year-old Bhim Bahadur Ghale of Udayapur.

Rai passed away last night, while Ghale succumbed to his injuries this morning at the Kirtipur-based Burn Hospital.

The remaining injured individuals are still receiving treatment at the same hospital. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
