Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath Take Holy Dip at Mahakumbh

Prayagraj, India — The Mahakumbh festival witnessed significant religious and political participation on Monday as top leaders performed rituals and took a holy dip at Sangam in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj.
Indian Home Minister Amit Shah, Swami Kailashanand Giri, Swami Avdheshanand Giri, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the religious ceremonies during the grand event.
The Mahakumbh, regarded as one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, draws millions of devotees who believe that bathing in the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers cleanses sins and grants spiritual liberation.
Authorities have implemented strict security and organizational measures to ensure the smooth conduct of this spiritual congregation, which holds immense religious, cultural, and social significance.
