Passenger Bus Plunges Into Ravine in Eastern Myanmar, Killing Seven

Kengtung, Myanmar A tragic bus accident in eastern Myanmar’s Shan State has left seven people dead and 25 others injured, according to the Myanmar Fire Services Department.
The accident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. local time on Saturday in Kengtung Township, when a passenger bus carrying over 30 people lost control and plunged into a ravine. A local police officer confirmed the details of the crash on Sunday, stating that five males and two females were among the deceased, all of whom died at the scene.
Rescue teams swiftly arrived at the site, transporting the injured passengers to local hospitals for medical treatment. Authorities have yet to disclose the cause of the accident, but an investigation is currently underway to determine the factors leading to the crash.
