Three Arrest with Rs 10 Million in Cash, Gold, and Silver

The Armed Police Force apprehended three individuals in Bhajani, Kailali, with gold, silver, cash, and other valuables valued at over Rs 10 million.
The seizure took place in the Kauwakheda border area of Bhajani Municipality-5 on Saturday evening, as confirmed by DSP Shailendra Thapa, Joint Spokesperson for the Armed Police Force.
The individuals arrested include Mahendra Bahadur Shahi from Chaukuni Rural Municipality-10, Surkhet; Harka Bahadur BK from Birendranagar Municipality-1; and Mahesh Sunar from Panchpuri Municipality-11.
They were detained by the Border Out Post (BOP) Pagiapasar under the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 34 Battalion in Kailali.
During a routine check, the police discovered 620 grams of gold worth Rs 80,79,561, 8 kg 914 grams of silver worth Rs 1,528,460, 611,625 Indian rupees, Saudi riyals, four mobile phones, and silver-plated utensils in their possession.
Thapa stated that the arrested individuals did not disclose the source of the items, and action has been initiated against them.
The suspects, along with the confiscated goods, have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation.
