Four Persons Injured in 12 Fire Incidents

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), four people were injured in the incidents of fire occurred in different districts, including Kathmandu. Two others were injured in the incident of animal attack.

NDRRMA spokesperson Dr Dijon Bhattarai has urged all to take precautions with the rise in the number of fire incidents. He further said the fire incidents were increasingly taking place due to short circuit and gas cylinder leakage. Mostly the fire incidents are occurring due to sheer negligence.

Three persons, including a resident of Dharan Municipality-4, were injured in a fire that broke out at the house of a person of Dharan Municipality-4 at Sinamangal of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9 today. Similarly, one person was injured in a fire that broke out in Ilam due to electricity leakage.

According to the NDRRMA, over Rs 1.2 million was damaged in the fire incident that broke out at a house in Tehrathum.

Similarly, the incidents of inferno have also caused damages to paddy plantation in Sankhuwasabha, Saptari, Rautahat, Jhapa, Banke and Achham districts.

Earlier on Thursday, four people were injured in the fire. Spokesperson Dr Bhattarai informed that an estimated Rs 2.5 million was damaged in the fire incidents. According to the NDRRMA, one person was injured after being bitten by a dog in Lalitpur and another in Banke.
