Climbing Dharahara Now Costs Rs 200 per Person

Dharahara Entry Fee Introduced: Rs 200 for Locals, Discounts Available

Starting November 24, a fee of Rs 200 per person will be introduced for climbing the Dharahara, which was previously free during its trial period.

The Ministry of Urban Development has announced that visitors from SAARC countries will be charged Rs 500 per person, while those from non-SAARC nations will need to pay Rs 1,000 each. These charges are implemented under the Special Infrastructure Operation and Management Development Committee Order, 2081.

This fee structure was approved by the Council of Ministers during their meeting last Thursday.

Nepali citizens, students, senior citizens, children, and individuals with disabilities will enjoy a 50% discount on the climbing fee.

Additionally, parking charges have been set for vehicles at the tower: Rs 20 per hour for four-wheelers and Rs 10 per hour for two-wheelers.

The Ministry has also specified advertising fees for the Dharahara premises, including Rs 5,000 per hour for ads of national significance (excluding commercial ads), Rs 5,000 per hour for commercial video shoots, and Rs 1,000 per hour for photography.
