The 'MAN International Award-2024' is going to be held in Biratnagar to promote Maithili language and culture among people speaking different languages. .
 

Maithili Association Nepal (MAN) Biratnagar is hosting the event that will see the participation of 200 famous Nepali and Indian Kiranti, Tharu, Maithali, Bhojpuri writers, filmmakers, drama artists, artists, singers, linguists, information technology entrepreneurs, social activists, etc.

The event is being held on coming November 30 where people will be awarded in different categories, said Praveen Narayan Chowdhury, president of the Association.

It is the first of its kind program going to be held in Koshi province for the development of Maithali language and literature.

Famous film director of India Purnendu Jha, Nepali filmmakers Indra Pariyar and Arun Jha, Deepashree Niraula, Menuka Majhi, Sumit Khadka and executive chairman of Rastriya Samachar Samiti and Maithali writer Dharmendra Jha, Indian singer Sneha Jha, educationist Kamrudin Nawaf, Dr. RK Chaudhary, Prof. Dr. Keshkar Thakur, Rabindranarayan Mishra, Dr. Rajesh Jha, Shyamalsuman Acharya, Dharmendrandranath Mishra and other scholars are expected to participate in the event.
