A partial influence of the westerly low-pressure system and local winds is currently affecting the country.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions.

There is a likelihood of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few locations in the hilly regions, particularly in the Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces.

Light snowfall is also expected in some areas of the high hills and mountainous regions of these two provinces.

In light of potential storms and their impacts in certain parts of Koshi and Madhes provinces, the Division has advised the public to take necessary safety precautions.
